Are your phones sim locked? Will they work on any network

OHMI sells mobile phones and PDA's that will work on any compatible network. So long as the phone you are purchasing operates on the correct band for your sim card the phone will operate. Please understand that there are currently two different types of sim cards in Australia and that a 3G sim, while it will work in a 2G handset, will lose some functionality that only operates on the 3G network with a compatible handset. You can use any standard sim card with a phone purchased from us. When you purchase a phone from OHMI, you are purchasing an outright phone. You are not locked into any contracts with any mobile phone carrier. You have the choice on what carrier and service you use.



 

Can I use my pre-paid sim card in your phones?

Yes, you can use any compatible sim card in a phone purchased from OHMI.



 

What does each phone come with?

All phones purchased from our store include the box, charger, phone, battery and user manual. Most phones also come with extra accessories such as software and data-transfer cables. Please check on the phone's details to verify what is included in each phone package.

Is your site secure?

Yes, all credit card transactions are made using PayPal, one of the largest online payment methods worldwide, and are sent using Secure Socket Layer systems. SSL is used by banks worldwide. All credit card details travel between us using extremely strong encryption, and they are handled with the utmost care.



 

I have found an error on your site. What do I do?

We try and have as few as errors as possible on our site, however unfortunately one or two may occur. We would love for you to email us to inform us of any errors that you identify. We will then endeavour to fix them as soon as possible.

We have associations with major suppliers of all sorts of products, not just telecommunications. Do I receive a warranty with the product that I order?

Of course. All products that we sell come with a manufacturer’s warranty. Your warranty details will be included with your order. Warranty is 12 months on most phones, 24 months on select high-end models, and 6 months on all accessories.

Are my goods insured?

Yes, all orders are insured. Goods will be delivered to you via Australia Post.



 

How will my order be delivered?

Orders are usually delivered by courier. All orders will always require a signature for security purposes. To most places in Australia delivery is overnight.



 

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

The large majority of express orders are delivered within one or two business days from ordering. If there is a delay in your order, we will contact you. Longer delivery times may occur for country and remote areas. Please read our Terms & Conditions page for further details.



 

Can I pay extra for a speedy delivery?

We consider that our delivery methods are already speedy. If you are in a hurry to receive your order please choose express shipping.



 

What are the freight costs?

The freight cost is always shown at the check out. The current price for express shipping is $15. Please note that this is different for C.O.D. orders.



 

Why does someone have to sign for the goods?

All orders must be signed for, due to security reasons. This way, we receive confirmation that the order has been successfully delivered.



 

Do you deliver outside Australia?

What is Bluetooth?

Bluetooth is a short-range radio technology that allows the wireless networking of devices. In future many mobile phones, organisers and also PCs will routinely have a Bluetooth capability. The radio link can be up to 10 metres and allows data to be exchanged between mobile phones and organisers. Line-of-sight is not required between the devices. Bluetooth transmits in the frequency range 2.4 to 2.4835 GHz and achieves data rates of up to 721 kilobits per second.



 

What is A2DP?

A2DP technology is a new music revolution allowing you to send CD quality stereo music from one device to another without wires. A2DP is stereo music sent over Bluetooth without the hassle of plugging cables. Bluetooth Wireless Technology with A2DP technology makes mobile phones, PDA’s and computers capable of streaming music directly to products such as stereo Bluetooth headsets and Bluetooth speaker systems. The Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) is just one of the modes available for Bluetooth technology.



 

What is the difference between 2G, 3G and Next G?

The 'G' stands for 'Generation', with the 1st generation network being the old analogue system, and the 2G, or 2nd generation network being the current digital network. The difference between 2G and 3G networks is really only an increase in speed, allowing new functionality such as video calls and faster downloads over-the-air.
